Louisa was in the security hub organizing those under her command in the event there is a boarding of the ship, in the event that the ship was boarded she did not want it to fall into enemy hands. Unfortunately with all the chaos going on outside of the ship there isn't much she can do other than order her troops with medical training to assist in sickbay.
She squeals excitedly, not usually like this but she was running on very little sleep and adrenaline. She flicks her wrist, snapping the whip, not noticing the Lieutenant behind her.
She stifled a scream before shooting her leg backwards, tripping the Lieutenant before spinning around and snapping her whip in the air. "Shoot." She looks down at the Lieutenant.
She pulls him up. "You mean...you can't sneak up in me like that. Gosh, you scared me." She flicks her wrist again, snapping the whip. "Remember the Lethean you phasered?"
"It's...it's my whip now." She says sheepishly, snapping her whip again. "It's not like she can't get another one if she survived...and if she didn't well, she won't need it anyway."
"I suppose you can keep it but, before I let you take it with you on away missions you will need to prove your proficiency to me since quite frankly I'm not supposed to let you keep that."
He felt a jolt of pain in his leg where the whip had just barely missed his shin though it didn't stop the sparks from hitting him.
"Agh damn it sparky watch where you throw that around."
"Shoot!" She quickly turned the whip off with a click and put it carefully on the floor before rushing toward her Commanding Officer. "I am so sorry....It was an accident, I promise! Are you alright?"
Austin did a little spin before he settled into one of the chairs. "This whole place is empty 95% of the time outside of ops people. Most of them are detached under me at the base."
"Sure it might be a bit scrapy and it could use a bit of work but you are basically the best Security officer there is. You taught Clevenger everything he knows and he's also a CoS, and I'd say Raleigh isn't too far behind either."
He shrugged. "I honestly still don't know this ship very well. Maybe if I look around a bit more I'll come to like it. The crew is good but, I don't know if I'll be able to call it home."
"Then why don't we explore around a little bit and see what the ship has too offer. Why don't we go check out the mess hall, I could honestly use something to eat."
